Programmes Offered
- Master of Science in Electronic Engineering (MENA) - MQA/FA5635
- A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Engineering Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or its equivalent.
- A candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Engineering Technology, not meeting CGPA of 2.75 but above 2.50 or its equivalent, may be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
- A candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Engineering Technology, with CGPA less than 2.50, and a minimum of five (5) years working experience in a relevant field can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Technology (not related to Engineering / Engineering Technology) must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by UTeM and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) to (iii) above.
- Full Time : 2 – 5 Years
- Part Time : 3 – 5 Years
Admission Requirements
Language Requirements
International applicants are required to present the result of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) with the minimum required score as listed below:

An applicant who has not fulfilled the requirement stipulated in the table above is required to take a placement test and an English programme conducted by UTeM, as well as sit for the MUET prior to commencement of their studies. Any student who obtains a score lower by one (1) Band than stipulated above, after the English programme, is required to undergo and pass the Remedial English course(s) conducted by UTeM in addition to the graduation requirements of his/her programme of study.
Exemption is given to those who have undertaken regular programmes of study and graduated from universities that use English as the medium of instruction. Exemption may also be given to those who originate from countries whose native language is English or who hail from Commonwealth countries. Applicants are also required to provide proof of evidence to SPS.
