POSTGRADUATE ACADEMIC AWARDS

The Postgraduate Academic Award are aimed to recognize postgraduate student in their caliber and excellence in the academic field. The Academic Recipient is a committed, involved and contributes to the discovery and development of knowledge towards the university’s aspirations as a center of engineering and technical excellence.

Nominations are opened to all students who have graduated at Post-Graduate level either at the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Science (MSc), Master Programme by Mixed Mode and Taught Course. Candidate can apply for the UTeM Postgraduate Academic Awards as follows:

 Received RM 2000 with certificate. Name will be announced at the Convocation Ceremony *Must attend the Convocation Ceremony

Pro Chancellor Award MSc
 Received RM 1500 with certificate. Name will be announced at the Convocation Ceremony *Must attend the Convocation Ceremony

Vice Chancellor Award

Master (Mixed Mode and Taught  Course)
 Received RM 1000 with certificate.Name will be announced at the  Convocation Ceremony
4 Best Thesis Award PhD and MSc
 Received RM 1000 with certificate.
 Name will be announced at the Convocation Ceremony

 Candidate should fill the application form and must be accompanied by a copy of the document as evidence, if relevant.

1.  Graduate-on-time (GOT) Status  Proof of evidence must be attached
2.

 Publication

  • Must be the 1st Author or Student MUST be the first student author.
  • All article must be already published.
  • Clearly mentioned the Month and Year of Publication
  • Publications without the name of supervisors will not be considered.
  • Only publication with UTeM affiliation will be considered.
  • Indexed journal (SCOPUS or ERA or ISI WOS at level Q1 / Q2 / Q3 / Q4) and must be published during the duration of study.
  • Proof of evidence for indexed publication must be attached.
3.  Received any academic or non-academic award(s)
  • Proof of evidence must be attached
  • Should be related to your research study
4.  Recognition (s) from Industry / Community / MOA / MOU
  • Proof of evidence must be attached
  • Should be related to your research study
5.  Participate in any society (s) / competition (s) /  conference (s) / community service (s) at International / National / University level  Proof of evidence must be attached
6.  Thesis / Dissertation / Master Project Report
  • Proof of evidence must be attached.
  • Softcopy of the original report is a must and endorsed by supervisor and faculty.
7.  Application form
  • Candidate must fill the application form of Postgraduate Academic Awards.
  • The application must be enclosed with valid and complete information and proof. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
  • Only application endorsed by faculty / institute will be considered.
  • Result of application is strictly final, and no appeal will be entertained
