The Zamalah Scheme (Skim Zamalah) is created to increase the number of postgraduate students and university research activities. Master / Doctorate students pursuing full-time research are invited to apply for this scheme.

 FOLLOWINGS ARE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY:

 General Requirement:

1. Applicants must be a registered Full-time student of Master by Research or PhD Programme in UTeM.

2. Scheme / Awards are open to Malaysia and international applicants.

3. Applicants who have refused / withdraw or have been terminated from the scheme are not allowed to apply.

4. University reserves the right to terminate Zamalah Scheme if the student break any of the terms and conditions. It is the applicant’s responsibility
   to ensure that all the information provided is true and accurate. University may withdraw or cancel the offer, without liability to the student, if 
   discovered that the application contains incorrect or omits any key information.

5. Every published journal through Zamalah Scheme must place the appreciation only on "Zamalah Scheme". Each journal that does not honor this will not be taken into consideration during the continuation period.

6. The decision of University is final and there shall be no further appeal against the decision.

 New Application

1. Master (by Research) Student

 a. Applicants must have a CGPA > 3.50 or its equivalent at Bachelor Degree will be considered.

b. For new student, the applicant must apply for admission of their respective programme before application of the Zamalah’s Scheme will be considered.

c. For current student, new application can be made until Semester 1 or 2 of their respective MSc programme. In addition, the following criteria
       are highly sought-after:

        (i) LKP marks > 80, and

        (ii) any contribution to the university.

    d. All applicants should register with Google Scholar.

2. Doctor of Philosophy

a. Applicants must have a CGPA > 3.50 or its equivalent at Bachelor Degree and Masters Degree with excellent grades will be considered.

   b. For new student, the applicant must apply for admission of their respective programme before application of the Zamalah’s Scheme will be
       considered.

   c. For current students, new application can be made until Semester 3 or 4 of their respective PhD programme. In addition, the following criteria
       are highly sought-after:

         (i) LKP marks > 80,

        (ii) have published at least 1 journal publication (Indexed by SCOPUS / ISI WOS), and

(iii) any contribution to the university.

    d. All applicants should register with Google Scholar.

QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS FOR UTeM ZAMALAH SCHEME INTERVIEW SESSION (NEW APPLICATION)

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE NOTIFIED. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE ANY NOTIFICATION WITHIN TWO (2) MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF INTERVIEW, YOUR APPLICATION IS DEEMED UNSUCCESSFUL.

 2. PELAJAR SEPENUH MASA YANG BELUM MENDAFTAR
      FULL TIME UNREGISTERED STUDENT

    NOTE : * Student's name in the first 3 authorship

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE NOTIFIED. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE ANY NOTIFICATION WITHIN TWO (2) MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF INTERVIEW, YOUR APPLICATION IS DEEMED UNSUCCESSFUL.

Scheme Continuation

           1. Master (by Research) Student

               a. Zamalah’s Scheme holder must apply for continuing of the scheme for each semester until before the forth (4) semester of the programme.

                b. For continuing the scheme, the following criteria are highly sought-after:

   (i) Provide the hardcopy of their published journal (s),

   (ii) Provide their workload endorsed by Faculty / Institute / Centre,

   (iii) Provide hardcopy of thesis progress.

2. Doctor of Philosophy

       a. Zamalah’s Scheme holder must apply for continuing of the scheme for each semester until before the sixth (6) semester of the programme.

       b. For continuing the scheme, the following criteria are highly sought-after:

   (i) Provide the hardcopy of their published journal (s),

   (ii) Provide their workload endorsed by Faculty / Institute / Centre,

   (iii) Provide hardcopy of thesis progress.

   Successful recipients of the scholarship must be willingly able to:

 i. Serve the Faculty / Institute / Centre for a maximum of six (6) hours per week on teaching or academic works under supervision of the Faculty’s   
   management.

ii. Demonstrate excellent progress in their studies by completing within the stipulated time.

iii. Actively engage in academic related activities such as writing academic publications, research innovations and exhibitions, etc.
